About moi

Aike Lutkemoller graduated from the AKI (ArtEZ) hogeschool voor de kunsten Enschede, NL.
During his 5 years of study he was part of the new media art department (MAD) and has been working on several short films and video installations.
During his last two years he started to get fascinated with electronics and have been experimenting with old printers/motors …
He started to take old discarded machines apart , trying to figure out what exactly makes them tick, get a basic understanding of their mechanics.
Very soon he started to sit on top of a mountain of old broken machines. Aike almost automatically started to look for purposes of the many amazing parts. Adding parts of many different things together thus creating a very interesting “Lego” like experience, forcing the machines to make noise, draw or simply exist to move but create nothing.
Next to his artistic practice he currently organizes events like the “Zombiewalk” in Enschede, The Overkill Festival ( a festival for Video games & Art ) , ZuiderFestival ( Art, Music & performance Festival).
